What is a Speech-Language Pathologist? 

A speech-language pathologist is a professional who specializes in working with individuals to improve their communication and feeding skills. In pediatrics, a speech-language pathologist works to develop and maximize the child’s speech, language, and feeding skills in a motivating play setting in order to increase their independence and ability to communicate. ​ 

How Do I know if my child needs Speech Therapy? 

If your child is experiencing any of the following, please contact us for a screening:


Delayed development of speech sounds and language compared to peers their age; Difficult to understand; Has difficulty understanding language and following directions; Hesitates often, repeats, or prolongs sounds; Has difficulty chewing and swallowing; Has a voice that is too high, deep or raspy; Has difficulty hearing; Has difficulty with speech in a social context.
